...happiness can?

Living in a crowded space, with lonely haunts my pace,
Senseless direction to another end, eh... do we share the same?
At times a waning inner voice, whining to end the day,
With shillings in my tired hands, enough to buy the happiness can?

~1000~

sometimes

sometimes life is full of surprises,
like throwing out a dice,
never know of what you get,
which always make us guess,
if we do can predict things,
then there will be no misery,
but then will also be no joy,
coz all have been destined.

A friend just suddenly got ENGAGED tomorrow.

Yeah, things happens too fast. I was still thinking that she's joking... but she says it's true. She is getting engaged tomorrow. She is a playful girl who likes to joke around, shining her sunny smile to everyone - most of the time being quite "38"... but suddenly hearing her get married is quite a surprise... she did mention about this thing before but no one treat it real.

Sometimes, things are quite unpredictable...

RSS feed...

Hmm... what is RSS feed? How will it affects my Internet life? Right now I am spending quite a lot of time browsing on many sites which some of them seldom update. Is RSS gonna save me my time? Hopefully, I can get an answer to this thing...

Right now, 60% of my time is online (unless I am on the road). I need some guidance on how to improve my quality net life. At least, I don't wish to spend majority of my life being a netslave... :'(

another busy day

Today i nearly skipped my lunch. Time's a bit not enough to use nowadays. Spent too much time on the road. Should think out of a solution to cut down travelling.

So, what's for lunch today? hehehe... a big pau and a "siu mai"... kakakah... i think my diet plan is going down the drain... :( ... now my tummy is getting bigger and bigger... this is pretty alarming.

Went for swimming yesterday. Not much babes to see. In the end, swim for about 1 hour only. Sometimes, it's quite fun going for swim alone. I can concentrate on perfecting my doggy style... hehehe... but I still do prefer going out in groups. At least, can swim much longer... and play around... hahaha..

Hmm... I think I should start making swimming a weekly activity. I must keep FIT!!

Xplore G88 ..... again!

Today I drop by again at a booth selling Xplore G88. The salesman keeps on selling me the advantages of having it. Hm..

RM2088 - handset + some standard accessories.
RM 88 - extra 1 unit battery
RM 88 - desktop charger
RM 128 - external slot device for reading SD memory card

This is an expensive toy. My current Zire seems too bulky to bring around. Carrying both handphone and zire is a bit "gong bin" (read: stupid in hokkien). But pda does use up a lot battery. So, right now, it's still OK to bring that two stone around... hehehe.

I still prefer Zire over G88 due to the fact that zire's screen is much larger and easier to read. It's just that it's somehow a bit heavy and fragile, or else it will fit nicely into my shirt pocket.

Snatch Theft

I hate reading about snatch theft cases in news. It's very sad that we felt so insecure nowadays. These incidents always left a deep scar on the victims. They are traumatised badly, and often the victims are woman and children. These people are the one that's fragile in nature, yet because of that they are often taken advantage of.

The most recent snatch cases involve a 37 year old clerk in Johor Bahru, which has died after two days in a coma at the Sultanah Aminah Hospital after being a victim of a snatch theft last Saturday. She was only 37, a mother of two young children and a wife. Her death was totally senseless. How much $ would there be in the handbag? How about her children and husband? The children have to suffer growing up under an unbalanced family.

Her husband was more angry than sad. This is not an ordinary snatch theft case. And incident like this doesn't only happenned once. In fact, the last snatch theft case happened that also cause the death of a victim had just happened last month in Kuala Lumpur to a clerk. This clerk, if my memory doesn't failed me, had been the victim of 4 snatch theft cases during her last ten years (the 4th caused her death). She's often left with serious physical injury each time the incident occured. Her family members said that she was shattered by each cases, making her a very timid and scared woman. She was so scared that she only goes out to and from work (and each time walk hurriedly), whereas most of her time was spent staying at home. Imagine that she had to live under such condition, spending most of her time hole-up at home because of afraid being snatch again.

I throughoutly despised those that take advantage of the victim's weakness (in this scenario, it is woman and children). These theft are despicable, which have let little greed to overcome their sense. This got to do with education effectively promoting right moral values. Forget about the boring Morale subject in schools, which most of the time only served as exam. We should try instill more positive value using channel that gains huge public interest, for example, through movies. I always had the dream of producing movies that instill positive value (don't laugh at me) by using roles that portray people which are closes to us (like parents, siblings etc). We are always sad when something bad happens to the people closes to us. I believe this is also the same with the criminals. They too have their close ones. If they see that the things they do can bring such a disastrous consequence, they might have second thoughts whenever they wanted to do it.

It's sad to see this... what else can we do? :(

Wasted your life?

Our life can be judged from different angle. There's nothing defined as wasted our life. Everyday is a bonus to stay alive. Our approach to our own destiny is different from anybody's. There's no one that can be termed as having fully utilise his/her whole life.

If we carefully record our every minute of our life, it's actually an amazing rich experience. It's only that we seldom remember the tiny detail of our life - like what we eat, what we have been doing at that particular hour, who have we spent quality moment with... etc - that makes us feeling like we have been wasting all this while doing nothing.

Highly successful people (that's dying)always complain if they are given a chance, they want to be ordinary people again (to spend more time with their loves one lah.. etc); very ordinary people always lament that if only they are given a chance, they want to be highly successful; Well, why are we always comparing ourselves with others and complaining? Just enjoy what you are currently doing - and move on. If don't like, change. Maybe, rent more movies to watch - and just assume yourself as the particular actor for a few hours or so.. and move on lorr...

Life is like a movie: everyone have their important role to play (even as a carrafei .. [dunno what spelling..]..).

Life is like a book: every chapter is a new story.

Telekom Streamyx Sucks!

Internet line had been down for last week. Frequent connect and disconnect just make any normal people go insane. Especially when you need the internet urgently. We paid for a low quality service. It's bad that we don't have any established competitor to rival Telekom. Maybe, it's time to teach them a lesson.

Besides Telekom, another party that I hate is virus writer. These irresponsible bugger just write like they are very clever or something like that, without thinking of the consequence to other people. If you would like to prove yourself, find a suitable venue and vent your creativity. Don't hurt those innocent people who depends on computer for everyday's life. You are making our life unproductive, instilling insecurity in our life and burden us with extra cost and energy. If you want to revenge on someone or something, please use the appropriate channel. Or make your target specific. Don't lash out your anger simply because you might in the end hurt the one that you love most...

Malaysian Passport

Today I went to buy the form to apply Malaysian International passport. What I can say now is, the officers at Jabatan Imigresen are polite and great. They don't shout around at you like dog, unlike those ungrateful officers of government department. Their service is replied with a smile. This is a good sign. Whenever you smile at someone, that person's day will be light up for the rest of the day. Smile more, you are making the world a better place. So, girls, smile.....:DDD

These few days have been very busy. No time to breath. I just barely slept 3 hours only for yesterday. Hopefully, today can have more sleep. Sometimes I wonder, why human have to spend almost 1/3 of their lifetime sleeping (doing nothing)? life is short, so we must enjoy life!!.. maybe we should start a campaign teaching people around us on how to have effective sleep.

(Actually, I think human's sleep time should be around 4-5 hours per day - that will free up more time for us to enjoy life! :D )

Really very tired...

Felt very tired for the last few days, with real sleep at only about 5 hours everyday. Sometimes, having 24 hours access to Internet isn't a good thing after all. One need to have discipline, else we can get lost in heaps and heaps of information available around us.

I always got lost in these information. What do we call that? Information overloading? I like reading, knowing about everything and anything that I can lay my eyes on. Being too greedy? I felt like that at some of the times. Most of the information seems not very important for me right now, but I just read it anyway.

I should stop surfing so much now. I need to take a rest. Look-up friends. Chat. Supper. Play bowling. Watch movie. Find a part-time girl friend... hehehe...

Pasar Malam. Bowling. Supper-ing.

Today is Friday. It's Pasar Malam day again. At this day every week, I will go to pasar malam with colleagues after work. It's one of the event we look forward at the end of the week, besides holidays :p.

We bought a lot of foods this time. Actually, I should put it this way: one of us bought too much food. This greedy one bought 1 fried mee, 1 fried "chai tau kueh", 2 pcs of fried chicken, 2 bak zhang, 2 cup of drinks, and some kuihs. Really too much. Haha, actually when he was buying the two fried stuff, he forgot he had bought bak zhang. Poor guy (this guy is me)... because I have to help him finish up some of the food... (damn... he finished up the fried chicken first, and left me those kuih ... grrr...).

Later, a friend called up and ask to go bowling. Oh my, I got 109 points this time. Hmm.. a bit improvement, but far from being better. Anyway, I am more concern about style in throwing the ball, not score :pPp ...

Lastly, after bowling, we went for supper. 3 different age guys sitting there chatting. Hmm.. I need to find some female friends... hehehe...

Do you know about Minix?

I come across Minix OS while I was browsing at the library books looking for info on how to build an operating system back in somewhere around year 1999. At that time, I was having the idea of developing a strip down version of gaming console running on older PC system without using Windows. I did not succeed develope that console, but i did discover Minix, which really impress me.

Many programmers tempting legal troubles?

Many coders can't help reusing code produced previously - either at the previous employer OR at created by other ppl (open source). Acutally, this should be the way software developed - reuse to save time, cost and productivity. But those source code are also IP (intelectual property), which is why many companies protect it closely.

For me, it's OK to reuse some utility codes, but if copy the entire program source code to reuse, it's no OK.

The Day After Tomorrow

Just watched "LUSA"... OR .. "The Day After Tomorrow" ... Good effect. Normal story line. Pretty actress. Handsome actor (like wang li hom). But I felt that the effect can be better... with stronger story line...

Actually, this movie shows a lot of message. This is one of the few movies that's not showing the arrogant of America... and that's why I think it's quite well crafted. It shows that even the strong country also have to ask for help during troubled times. And apart from that, a few really emotional moments.. got 1 that shows the profesionalism of a career ... like the sick child where the doctor stayed with him... and also another important point - the promise that's made by someone to another (in this movie, it's the promise made by father to son). In reality, how many would have take such a serious attitude to a promise made?

life is very fragile... this movie can make us realise what we have been doing all this while... we should re-evaluate our approach to the love one. Don't take everything for granted.

Finally, a new home for my blog.

Yeah! My blog just found a new home - another1000.blogspot.com... Remember to change your IE start-up page to this site :p.

It will be much easier for me to update or do maintenance. Overall, the content will be much more organized. I can start forget about HTML and CSS coding :).

Well, at least, the commenting system is much more perfect, unlike the crappy Yahoo!Geocities's guestbook.
