A great 3-hour shopping.

Firstly, it's not my idea to go shopping today. I had to go there to accomplish a task, but it got cancelled when I reach Giant Hypermarket. So, since being there, I decided to walk 1 round before retreat back to my home.

  1. Walked past the electronic section. Saw the 21" Weige TV selling at RM339. Definitely a good buy. A 14" TV was selling at RM230+.
  2. Later, stumbled across Weige DVD player at RM139. Awwww... The devil part of myself is beginning to dominate me.
  3. Saw an attractive batik cloth at RM46+.
  4. Laying my hand on a badly needed mirror selling at RM13.99
  5. How about a nice space glass drinking bottle, since I'm always using the mineral water bottle?
  6. Two small cute bolster for my car, each selling at RM8.99?
  7. Flapping through a mountain of cheap shorts selling at RM10.00... only to find out that it's ladies pants... :(
  8. How about a nice shirt at RM26.90(the quality seems a bit lousy)?
  9. A nice batik at RM46+ so that I can enter Casina de Genting and show hand with Uncle Lim?
  10. Ahhhhh.... the ice-cream for testing does taste nice..... yummy......
  11. Hm... the coffee beads definitely smell nice... how about a 100g? (I''m planning to buy it, put it in sachets, and hang on my car... so my car will have coffee shop smell... hehehe...but i just don't know where to buy sachet?)
  12. My home got a refridgerator. How about furnishing some gas drink like jolly shandy, 7-up, A&W rootbeer etc? or Tiger or Carlsberg?
  13. Some junk foods within reach when I slog into the chair watching some favourite TV programs?
  14. Some instant noodles to feed my irregular hunger?
  15. 3-in-1 nescafe to make me stay away from boring breakfast?
  16. Super glue to repair my broken-handphone belt casing?
  17. A towel that I needed badly because forgot to bring back from hometown after CNY? Buy a cheap plain one or a beatiful one or a cute one with hello kitty (just like my previous towel gift from my former housemates...which got lost in the Laundry shop!!!)?
  18. the list just goes endless...
I just can't refrain from buying nothing. In the end, I end-up buying a lot of things...

Damn hot weather.

The weather is damn hot. Trees & plants are burning everywhere. My drinking water finished very quickly. It's time for refill. I can't remember how much water had I drank, but I definitely remember how torturing it is to drive under the sun these recent weeks. I felt my skin burnt and ready to be served with tomato or chili sauce. Maybe make it hot & spicy. How about Original Recipe?

I know my room had an air-cond. But I seldom switch it on. Just open my room's window and everything will be windy (though the air is hot too).

Why is it so hot nowadays? I can't remember when was the last time the weather was this hot. How about walking around naked in the house :P?

latest cool Hand Phone

Come across this post by Chloe today, a desparate young one trying to stave off the temptation of owning a cool handphone ...

hehe... this is so interesting. Everybody is trying to get the latest toys in the market to boost their pride. It's sure cool to own the latest handphone, the pretties babe, the biggest car, the best dress etc... the list can go forever. And it's sure cool to have enough money to spend after owning the above cool, life accessories.

At many times, we are always given "tension" by our surrounding. People with camera smartphone, guys with the bigger imported cars, girls with the latest design branded handbags. These new owners of the Next-Big-Thing will stare at your ancient collections as with comments to tell you that "hey... can that 3310 phone of yours still able to make calls?!" etc... Nuts man...

Come on... analyze the thing you own right now. What do you use hp for? Most people's answer: 1. To make & receive calls, 2. To send & recieve sms. Other cool features you have right now will fade quickly as time flies. Camera catching low resolution pictures? Pretty colour screen with wallpapers that you need to spend more $ to download (i know that you can download free from computer, but how many people actually know how to do that?)? Sleek design handphone but worry it will get stolen OR having sleepless night / deep heart pain when it's dropped/loss (come on, admit it that we frequently do carelessly drop hp [many times])?

Take my 3310 for example. Do you know that you can actually send reminder to the other nokia hp owner to remind them ontime about an event, e.g. meeting? Have you utilise the built-in calculator that at many time can saves you from failing to calculate simple but troublesome maths? do you know that 3310 can do stop watch? or as a clock? or look up for chinese word that you forgot how to write?

It's sure nice to show off, but make sure you do have the premium to do that. In any time, my 3310 might be more useful that your "look good" accessory, putting you to shame for owning a huge white elephant :pPpP.

Btw, I am not better off than you, Chloe... I am living nearby lot's of "foreign workers" from Indonesia. Imagine that many of them owning HP better than mine, sniggering at me when hear my Non-Polyphonic handphone rings... hahaha...

OK. just take this post as ranting of a jealous ancient handphone user.... :PpP

Valentine's Day

I am back again, for another post. Today's Valentine's Day, so Happy Valentine's Day! So what with Valentine's day? It's just another day for the businessman to "slaughter" those "not so sensible" couples out there... spending on the following items:

  1. Very expensive dinner.
  2. Very expensive gift.
  3. Very expensive flowers.
Hey, is that the ways to make a girl happy?

I am going to go through tonight all by myself.

Pity? Pathetic? Lonely?

Well, that's what I am feeling right now, but guess what? Thinking of those people being so willing to be "slaughtered", I guess I am so blissful... no need to spend $@#%@ on the above 3 ultra expensive items just to make the other one "happy as if on the moon" (why the moon and not jupiter or pluto?!?!)...

I think this can be work out very sensiblely, right? If I am going to have a girlfriend, maybe I would propose the following to her...:

e.g. if I were to spend RM500 (I MENTIONED AS AN EXAMPLE, but this guy sure is NUTS if his salary is like mine...) on this day, which one would she prefer:

OPTION 1: [Do it on 14 Feb]
  1. Dinner = RM196
  2. Flower = RM150
  3. Gift = RM270
OPTION 2: [Do it on any other day]
  1. Romantic dinner at restaurant = RM89 (or you can make yourself candle light dinner + buy a Vanessa May / Kenny G pirateVCD to play... so can make it like got world class violin players / saxophonist play music while u eat... the cost can be much lower)
  2. Movie + popcorn + etc = RM30 (cannot buy pirate vcd, must go for cinema...)
  3. Flower = RM60 (still the same bouquet of flower..)
  4. Gift = RM100 (can buy the same gift at great discount sales, keep it till anytime you want to present it...)
  5. Ask primary school children to help fold those darn little origami zoo dioramas or bottles of tiny paper-folded stars (can fold 10 bottles) = RM50
  6. RM69 for a very sexy lingerie (sure buy during mega sales lah...), just like this one ...
  7. RM100 cash for her...so that she can either go shopping and buy anything she wants or bring that forward to the next new year loh... :P
Did you say I am not romantic? uh hohoho.... I sincerely believe any sensible girl would pick number two... It's so romantic... you gotta enjoy first class dinner, enjoyable movie

BUT... everyone is insensible during Valentine's Day... duh...

So, I guess my Option 2 won't work gua...:( ... what do you girls out there think?

NOTE: the author suddenly realise why he is still alone during the last 20+ valentine's days...

Butter ending with fly

Times... is just like butterfly
You never notice when it goes by,
Working too hard, hardly notice beauties at your sides..

Sometimes, you're like a fly,
Circling around some shits, and never know why,
As the fate decider, toying with your tries,
You loss the faith to make another smarter choice.

Sometimes you wander into deep thoughts,
At times you shudder at your failing shots,
If life is simple, then why is it so cruel,
To think of hardwork that's never rewarded.

They said there's fate, they said there's desparate,
Time is just like a ticking reminder...

Chinese New Year

Chinese New Year (CNY) is just around the corner, again. Time for new clothes, new hat, new bag, and new girlfriend :p.

I can't manage to buy any new clothes, as I can't find suitable one. This year, I parted from my previous taste, looking for RED colour shirt or T-shirt to go with this new year. Hmm... maybe I might as well get my hair RED too... hohoho ....

Normally, the Chinese will also be sending CNY greeting card among each others. For previous years, I had been receiving from various people, but I never returned their cards. Guess I don't get used to such practice. But this year, I think I must change a bit my attitude. Maybe I will return a handwritten notice "Thank you" to them and still not sending them CNY greeting card? hahahaha....

All people if same then no meaning liao larr. I love to see things which is handwritten, not just signature only. I like to see personally written message, not those just being forwarded around. Sometimes, whenever I received forwarded messages, I would reply the message with a little wit and perhaps try to create some new & fresh counter SMS... (though some of them not very "readable" :D ). Like that when you receive my SMS then it will be fresh from the oven, not an expired one... ;)

This CNY too I will be getting a longer holiday unlike other years. It's fun to be spending so much time doing something different from your normal routine. Hope that I won't be bored!

Beer... and girls...

Today met 2 new leng lui. Both are my colleague's relative. (many of her relatives - cousins, sister etc... all are pretty one leh...). They just happen to drop by for a breakfast before proceeding to downtown. Hmm... must buy toto liao...

Yesterday having a drink with my boss. Drank 5 bottles of Carlsberg. Luckily my home is just around the corner, so I don't mind being drunk. I myself don't quite like drinking beers, though I always promote it :pPp... the reasons being simple:

  1. It's expensive.
  2. It's bitter.
  3. It's yellowish... like urine.... :p
  4. When drink with friends, you are always being "push" to drink more.
  5. You can't drink and drive.
So how was yesterday? With "fried ikan bilis" to accompany beer, it just taste so good. So, I am still promoting beer... just like other days...

Troubled...

Slept late last Sunday night, at about 3am. Can't sleep. Too much tension built up on me. The problem lies with me, so nothing to complain about.

-----

Went to Jaya Jusco, and stopped by at the Osim demo. Was invited to a free massage using iSqueez . Nice. RM1400. Expensive. I remember back the Ogawa machine mum's using. I wonder what's it's fate right now... hehehe... heard from mum that she still uses it a few times a week.

Still remember the night which I had a long talk through the phone with mum. It should be a Sunday night. She and dad just back from Malacca the previous day. They had went shopping, and come across a foot massaging machine by the brand Ogawa.

Mum had been having sleepless night these years, as slightest sound would awake her in the middle of the night, e.g. the lizard farting etc... . So, she always look sleepy, and would not let off any opportunity to sleep :D.

So, the CULPRIT should be THE salesman/girl. After much of the sales talk... blah blah blah..."good for health"-lah... blah blah ... "can have good sleep"... blah blah ... "can be very energetic" ... blah blah... "ah? your son haven't got a gf? this can make your son quickly find a gf"... blah blah... they were "talked" into having a try out at the machine. "awwwww....." "ouch" "ouch"... this should be the expression given by them during the try-out.

So, after that, they found that their feet to be lighter (can like the kungfu "dragonfly walk on the water"...)

MUM: eh... the machine buei pai (not bad) leh... now I can continue shopping for 5 more hours also legs won't tired...
DAD: *legs in the air*.... awwww.....
THE salesman: hey mam.. now got offer. if you buy this machine within this promotion period, we will give you this, this, this, this and that, all worth RM$$$. see... it's so worth it. normally we won't be giving these gifts. Please support me lah... I still got a lot of children waiting for me to feed...
MUM: Eh, this one not bad huh... got so many free gifts...
DAD: Let's consider first loh...

--- back to the telephone conversation ---

Mum talk a lot about what they did at the shopping mall that day. And she mention about the Ogawa machine. Don't know because of that machine or because too tired walking a few ten kilometre around the shopping mall that day, she say she had a very nice sleep that night. Dad also say that he feel good too (well, i guess yes since he also follow in walking a few ten km that day too... hahahaha....).... So they were considering whether to buy that machine or not. Well, I think you can guess the ending here. Here comes the "now still filial" son filling the role of someone-gotta-pay the bill.

*the above conversation and some of the scene are purely my imagination*...

It feel so good to buy something for someone you love dearly. I wonder if dad will be jealous coz I bought a RM1000+ gift for mum (also for dad's use, what) and buy a RM100+ bicycle for him. I love both mom and dad equally... so, don't jealous ok?

A NOTE from the author: I don't know why, I would consider many times before buying something expensive for myself (sometimes will regret later, even though the thing's useful to me), but when buying this machine, I am buying with JOY and without much thinking. What a wonderful feeling and decision...

But... I am also poorer by now *sob sob*..... hehehe... no wonder there's a saying "poorer people are much happier".
